Wayne-Pike, PA Child Evangelism Fellowship
Bob was born into a Christian family in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. He has been active in serving the Lord and preparing for leadership and ministry since he was a teen.
In May of 1990, Bob became aware of the need for a Child Evangelism Fellowship director in Snyder County. While enquiring about the position, he learned of similar needs in other areas of eastern PA. The Lord led the Longenecker family to Wayne-Pike Counties. They moved to Bethany, a small town north of Honesdale, in September 1990.
Bob has served as the director of Wayne-Pike Child Evangelism Fellowship since then and is known to most as Uncle Bob. Nearly 5000 individual children have been enrolled in CEF ministries since the Longeneckers have directed the ministry.

Each day 250,000-300,000 people die, many without Christ. What are we doing to reach the lost? What are the effects of the choices we make when it comes to winning the lost? Are the choices we are making causing many to not hear about the life giving sacrifice of our Saviour?
Because of the choice you have made to pray, give, and help; about 190 children hear the Gospel each week. Thank you for making the wise choice to be a part of a ministry that is bringing many children to glory. Praise God, this year we have been able to interview more children sitting down with them one on one and helping them understand the Gospel.
This year we started a promotion that if children memorized 15 of our memory verses and attended class at least 85% of the time, they could qualify for a free week of day camp. We have several that have either reached that goal or are almost there. Pray that God will provide the money to cover these extra camp sponsorships.
We are almost done with our Released Time Classes and Good News Clubs for the 2011-2112 school year. Pray that the children will remember the lessons taught and put their trust in Jesus. This also means that summer is coming up quickly. Please pray about and consider being a part of our summer ministry team. Whether you host a 5-Day Club, help out at camp, serve as a summer missionary, pray for the ministry, or give to our summer fund; we need you!
