Mike was born in Puerto Rico of missionary parents, was saved at age 14, and called to preach at age 17. He then came to America where he served two years in the Army before attending Bob Jones University.
The Casillas have served in Puerto Rico for more than 40 years. Since returning to Puerto Rico in 1965, the Casillas family has established churches, a Christian school, and a Bible College
Mike has preached the gospel in over 25 countries and 40 of the 50 United States. Presently he is pastor of Templo Biblico Bautista (Bible Baptist Temple), San Juan, PR, and the founder and president of Puerto Rico Baptist College , where students from Puerto Rico, Spain, and several Latin American countries are being trained for the Lord's work.

Our island is in need of much prayer. The drug cartels are increasing their activities around the island and many people are moving to the States. Crime has increased and people are murdered every day. The majority of those killed are young people between the ages of 15 to 25. Many churches are not having Sunday night service due to this situation. Pray for our protection.
While in Sears, Linda had a fall and received very bad bruises on her face, right arm and knee. Praise the Lord, nothing was broken, but her eye is very black and her arm is in a sling. Pray for her recovery.
Every year, on President’s Day, we celebrate a ladies’ jubilee and men’s retreat with special guest speakers. This year we were privileged to have Dr. Roger Green of Ohio, and his wife, Brenda. Over 400 people, representing 20 churches from around the island, attended the event. The messages brought by Dr. Green to the men and the messages brought by Mrs. Green to the ladies were superb. During the last combined session, many decisions were made for Christ. The PRBC students worked very hard during this activity.
One of the main emphasis of the Puerto Rico Baptist College, which Mike founded in 1970, is soul winning. Every week students are challenged to go out and witness for Christ. During the Christmas vacation, the students led 50 souls to Christ. Thus far this semester they have led 75 souls to Christ. We thank the Lord for the way He is using them in bringing souls to Christ.
