Discipleship

One of the elements, in recent years, that has been sadly missing in the spiritual journey of a lot of Christians, has been an individual, or family, who, after their salvation, came alongside of them to guide them toward spiritual maturity. Yet, that relationship of investment is an absolute essential step in our spiritual journey.
  • WHY is discipleship needed?
Because salvation is just the beginning - Ephesians 4:14; 1 Corinthians 3:1.
Because stability does not come naturally - Ephesians 4:14; 1 Corinthians 3:10-11.
Because the enemy is deceptive - Ephesians 4:14; Romans 16:17-18.
  • HOW do we get involved in a discipleship relationship?
By building a relationship - Ephesians 4:16; Deuteronomy 6:6-9.
By giving time - Acts 8:26-39.
By feeding on God's Word - 1 Peter 2:2; 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
