FLEXIBILITY IS THE WORD!!
Summer at Canaan provides a time to complete larger-scale projects that cannot be completed at other times of the year.  This year, two renovation projects are underway:
  1. The restrooms in the basement of the original building are being remodeled.  This started on July 14th and is expected to be completed by the opening of the 2025-26 school year.
  2. The walls of the main auditorium are being redone with sheetrock and painted, giving that space a fresh and brighter look.  This started on July 22nd and should be completed in a couple of weeks.
These types of projects require some flexibility on our part.  Because of the ongoing work in the auditorium, we have had to relocate some of our services.
  1. The Adult Sunday School class, currently being taught by Pastor Dan, will meet in Room 108 (Mrs. Swan's classroom, during the school year).  Use the Academy entrance and turn left down the hallway next to the church offices.
  2. The Morning Worship Service will be held in the gymnasium.  The best way to get there is by using the Academy entrance.  For those of you who have come to rely on our livestreaming ministry, the equipment has been set up to be able to continue that vital service (facebook.com/canaanbiblechapel/live).
  3. The location of Sunday Evening Bible Study will be announced during the Morning Worship Service.
  4. Midweek Prayer and Bible Study will be held under the pavilion.  Those attending this service should bring a lawn chair for each member of their family attending.
We are excited to see how the completion of each of these projects turns out.  Come back in the weeks ahead for updated information and some pictures of the work and finished products.
