Children
Nursery (birth to 2 years)
A nursery is available, during Sunday School (8:45 a.m.), for newborns up to 2-years old. There is a Sunday School class for the 2- and 3-year olds in Room 104.
For morning worship (10:00 a.m.) a fully-staffed nursery is available for children ages 2 and under.
In the evening (6:00 p.m.), any children up to 3-years old are in the nursery, while the older ones have a Lighthouse Kids class available for their age group.
Anyone who works with or cares for children in the church receives special training and screening so your child is safe and happy while they are with us. The nursery staff has instant access to assistance via pagers in the event of an emergency. A medical professional is also on the paging system.
Your infant or toddler is welcomed by caring, trained and pre-screened staff. You receive a pager so you know immediately if you are needed and why. Security and medical personnel on the premises also carry pagers and can be alerted instantly for any reason.

Children's Church (ages 3-3rd grade)
The children are dismissed from the main sanctuary, during the Sunday morning Worship Service, right before the sermon. We have a special program designed for them, which includes Bible lessons, games, and singing. On a regular basis, they will sing some of the songs that they are learning, during Junior Church, in a Morning Worship Service.

Lighthouse Kids
If you hear people around here talking about Beacons, Sunbeams and Lightkeepers, they're not talking about a day at the shore. They are talking about Lighthouse Kids. This program is for children ages 3 through 6th grade. Each Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. they gather for an opening session and then divide into smaller groups dependent upon their age and grade level.
Once there, they participate in a number of activities, including snacks, Bible time, prayer, songs, and games. As part of the program, children keep "Quiet Time" books each week. These are reviewed with their leaders on Sunday nights. An average of 35-40 children attend, with some weeks hitting the 60 mark.
Day Camp (ages 4 through Grade 8)
Each summer, CBC holds a week of fun-filled activities and learning for children ages 4 through high school. This free event is from 9:00 a.m. to Noon and is open to any and all children from the surrounding areas. Each year the theme changes, so everything is new each summer. The church sanctuary is decorated almost beyond recognition to depict the theme. Fun skits and contests take place in the general session before children break away to classrooms for their particular age group. Classrooms are also highly decorated to promote fun and continuity. Games, snacks and crafts round out the morning.
